Texas Ag Coop Trust (TACT) is a not-for-profit trust, licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance as a multiple employer welfare arrangement, (MEWA). The MEWA is managed by a Board of Trustees which employs an Executive Director to manage the day to day operations of the MEWA.
TACT is an employee welfare benefit plan under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended. Participating employers and the employees make contributions to TACT for the purpose of providing health benefit coverage for themselves and their eligible dependents. Those funds are held by TACT in a fiduciary capacity for the sole benefit of those participating employers, employees and dependents. None of the Trustees, the Executive Director or any other individual person owns TACT or any shares thereof.
TACT Insurance Agency Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Texas Ag Coop Trust (TACT). The TACT Insurance Agency is a life and health insurance agency licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance. Any revenue received by the Agency belongs ultimately to TACT. There are no individuals who have an ownership interest in TACT Insurance Agency.
