Important Information Concerning
TACT Bottled Water

Water!

Our bodies are made up of 75% water and constantly needs to be replenished and flushed out. Water has an ability to heal a wide range of seemingly unrelated health problems. Water improves the functions of glands and hormones. Water helps the liver to break down and release fats. Water is essential to keep the stools hydrated. Water prevents the body from retaining fluid and sodium. Water helps clean the stomach, small & large intestine and aids in digestion. Water dissolves accumulated toxins and keeps waste and deposits from building up. Water adds needed minerals and transports nutrients, minerals, vitamins, proteins and sugars for use in the body.

How much water do I need to drink?

Everybody needs to drink 8 to 12 glasses of room temperature water per day. Take your body weight and divide by 2, this is the number of ounces you need to drink each day. 200 pounds of body weight divided by 2 = 100 ounces of water needed. If using a ˝ liter water bottle, you would need to drink 6 bottles per day. You need to keep water accessible. Drink water all day whether you are thirsty or not. After the bathroom, drink a full glass of water. Spread out water intake throughout the day. As a note, water intake should occur away from mealtimes because the
consuming of excessive liquids with food reduces
the digestive functions.

Why is this important?

When we first started our wellness screenings several years ago we immediately found that our members were not drinking enough water. This combined with the fact that we have a high percentage of employees that are diabetics and/or potential diabetics we realized that we were actually pouring gas on the fire with our employees health and
didn't' even realize it. We found that most people drink coffee, teas, sodas, (Lots of sugar laden sodas) juices; basically anything but water. When you add anything at all
to water, the body treats it as food and sends enzymes to the stomach to digest it. Only plain water satisfies the
body's requirements.

How do I get my employees to drink the water?

You already provide water in various ways to your employees now but how do you get them to drink more water. The best way to get your employees to drink the appropriate amount of water is to make it available to them in a ˝ liter water bottle. Anything smaller is not enough and anything larger is too much and they will waste some of the water. After checking with water bottling companies TACT found a local bottling company and arranged to have our own TACT private labeled bottled water made.

How do I get TACT water and
how much does it cost?

TACT water is bottled and shipped to a public warehouse in Lubbock as we order it. TACT's current cost for this water has increased. TACT sells this water to its members for $420.00 per pallet plus shipping or delivery.
That is only 25 cents per bottle.
To avoid the shipping and or delivery fee the above price is FOB Robertson Bonded Warehouse located @
833 East 40th Street, Lubbock TX.
For those that may not be familiar with the process, if you want a pallet of water (no partials allowed) and you will be picking it up at the warehouse all you have to do is phone our office and we will fax you the paperwork the warehouse will need to release the pallet to you. If you are going to have the water shipped to you by a freight company follow the same procedure. If you want us to bring it to you we can do that as well but we do charge for this service and we do it at our convenience, so if you are in a hurry, this usually isn't the best option. Also please note that if you are located more than three hours from Lubbock we can't justify bringing water to you. Another option is if you have space to hold 12 pallets at once we can ship them direct to your location with very little or no shipping charge included. We would need to work directly with the bottler to get this done.

Does this really work?

We had no idea what the response might be from the employees and were shocked when we found that the employees liked the water better. Employers that have changed out the soda machines and replaced them with the bottled water have found their employees are better hydrated, have more energy, have lost weight and have lowered their blood pressure. This is just another common sense solution that makes a positive difference in the health of your employees.
