TACT looked at what each employee was consuming and found some disturbing facts. Here in Texas any diet is fine as long as it’s fried! Combine our Southern fried taste with the delicious Tex-Mex cuisine we all love - notoriously fatty - and it’s easy to see that our eating habits could use all the help they can get. Since TACT headquarters is in Lubbock, which sits in the middle of the largest cotton patch on the planet, TACT took a look at cottonseed oil. Cottonseed oil has none of the drawbacks of lard or animal fats.
Cottonseed Oil is:
- Equivalent to olive oil in good benefits
- Cholesterol free!
- Trans Fat Free!
So, TACT went to the largest producer of cottonseed oil and contracted to have one gallon containers labeled with the TACT brand. TACT makes this cottonseed oil available to all member/owners at cost, which makes it just as healthy as olive oil but only a fraction of the cost. Just getting an employee to switch from lard or animal fats to cottonseed oil we think has made a major impact on the health of the employees. Cholesterol levels are dropping and we think this program is to blame for that favor.
